"They have basically removed it as a liability compared to the Linuxes and Solarises."

lol...That's a good one! Why do they suppose so many companies have lapsed AV licenses, as the article states? It's because they're finding alternatives which are much less vulnerable (read correctly...I did *not* say "invulnerable", but much less vulnerable). Use your imagination as to what that could be. Hint...I work for a F500, which made a strategic choice to make new app development web-based several years ago...now looking at the possibility of using an "alternative" OS...if we do it, it's because it was enabled by the neutrality of web apps. I suspect many others have positioned themselves similarly. The fact that *nix on the desktop has not really ever taken off doesn't mean it won't...it just means that in the enterprise space it takes multiple years to position yourself to be able to do it. Be afraid, Bill, be very afraid. Your security promises have been so poorly delivered in the past that we just might decide don't need that new suit of clothes this time. Especially if you expect us to pay for your AV...which is only necessary because of your company's sloppy designs and implementations of OS software to begin with. That ship has sailed.
