Go back to your room little boy. I doubt you know anything about open source or what Linux really is. I find you and your rant hilarious. I would be interested to know if you use basic "Linux" or a commercially developed distro that is available as a free download. If the latter is true then you are nothing more than a lurking troll Linux user wannabe. If you can do as my tech guy has done and contribute to the open source movement as a developer rather than as a freebie grabbing user then you might have something to say worth hearing.

I am no longer a fan of Microsoft (as a user) but it would be a sad day if Microsoft went away. Competition is good. Competition has made Mandrake and Redhat better distros (I use a purchasd version of Mandrake BTW). Not everyone in the world (my 65 and 68 year old parents included) want to take the time to learn how to use Linux to its full potential and personalization as I have. Microsoft has a place in the world for them at the very least.

Micorosft has chosen closed source as a business plan. That is their choice and contrary to your rant not everything in the tech world needs to be open source. I for one think Microsoft might be missing a great opportunity here but if not so be it.
