Yes to slight degree. Linux is designed to be secure while Microsoft OSes are design for ease of use. Security and ease of use complete opposites. So basically the thing that makes Linux secure is the reason fewer people use it. That could change if the virus thing gets any worse.

Still there would be viruses due to social engineering. Gullible people will still follow instructions to thier detriment. There will still be flaws that need to be patched as well. Just things won't be quite as bad as it is with Windows. This of course assumes you have a world of 100% Linux, never gonna happen though. People like easy!

I think though if you had a MAC with 90% of the market you'd probably have the same trouble though. Just my opinion there, Mac fanatics will probably be upset but hey truth hurts sometimes.
