When ordinary users get around to using Linux
Then we'll have some fun. Right now, only technophiles and their family or close associates use it on the desktop and support is close at hand. If or when more desktop Linux boxes do hit it big in the consumer market then it will be Linux fans' time to dig their fingernails into their desks and screech as people download and run rogue programs because an email told them to. I've seen incompetent users FUBAR Macs and they're a whole lot more idiot proof than any Linux desktop system.

At least in the Microsoft world we can always blame Bill & Company for the problems, even if the user, net admin or the programmer caused them. One programmer who used to work for me would always say "Damn Microsoft" whenever one of the hardware drivers he had written would crash. Who do you blame when you mess up stuff in the Linux world?
