You will never get
patches for MS products BEFORE the exploit appears for several reasons. Windows is too vulnerable of an operating system. Malware creators will be developing and releasing attack code from now on.

So it doesn't matter if you pay for the updates or not, MS has no way of knowing what some of these slugs out there are writing and how they will release it or when they will release it.

MS can only be so PROACTIVE. But most of their patches are going to be released as a reactive measure more than a proactive measure.
