Hey 5th of Kisser
We can't secure our borders, how are we going to put little receivers every 30 feet throughout the entire country and link them all together?

The best battery technology I have seen so far is a SecureID card, which can last up to 3 years and the card was about 3/16 inch thick. This only drove a small LCD display, you are talking a transmitter for a few milliwatts. These would need to be replaced every few years.

Then again, what is to keep me from keeping my ID card wrapped in tin foil to block radio waves, or to keep 3rd party companies from creating some kind of personal scrambler?

I can shoot even more holes in your topic if you wish.
