Microsoft issues patch for WMF vulnerability

"Patches" doing more harm than good.

These "patches" are supposed to close loopholes that can be exploited. Instead, they systematically cripple a person's system; I've been having problems with permissions since the last update. I can't even update Windows anymore! (Smooth move, Ex-Lax! Cripple your own customer's systems so they can't update or even use it anymore.)

My Avast! antivirus stopped a WMF worm from getting on my system days before MS issued the "emergeny patch." As long as my AV and firewall can be updated, I won't worry about patching the OS itself.

If a user has a good AV and firewall on their system, patching the OS is almost unneccessary. If the OS patches themselves are crippling the system, why even bother? :?

(Seriously, if the OS patches have been doing more harm than good, why bother with them?)
