ISPs can stop this stuff
Hi, just a thought about what you said,
I think the best way our ISP can provide a better service regarding blocking malicious mail is by user consent only, what your asking is like giving everyone in the world a shot in the arm to protect them against some flue lol.
I believe oneway to catch the viruses/ spam at our ISP door, is that every email coming into the individual mail box at the post office of our ISP,should have a bounce signal enabled, that way it can be cheaked for a legitimate sender address and if it doesn't match or give a bounce of authenticity against the ones we have allowed to enter,just stop them.
It's common knowledge that almost all of these spam/virus infected emails donot have a legit return address it is bogus.
I often wonder why our ISP does not have an anti virus installed in the postoffice and scans all incoming emails. It's not like they are being hand delivered.
