Older expensive CNC equipment
We have a networked, CNC punch press running win 95, purchased in 1998. 15 or 20 years operation is to be expected. Windows control systems are no longer manufactured. The ISA controller card cost $5000 alone. Updating to the newer FANUC control system would cost tens of thousands of dollars. Also Forcing months of rewriting programs. How long should MS support older OSs?
