I agree, Its been said many ? many times that the average Windows user.....
only want to turn it on, get the task completed, read mail, screw around on the web, down load something, play a few games and than turn it off and never really think/care about maintaining a computer ..........................that statement was true 10 years ago and it hold true today ....................... I've had a Linux box for 5 years and have tried to stir some interest with Windows users to no avail ......................Quote I'm happy with Windows. It meets my needs, you mention what about all the problems.............you get a blank look and you now know that your wasting your time taking this conversation any further............................and than 3,4,5 months down the road you get that call .................my computer crashed again ...............can you help me .................... you mention the words Defrag, Temp files etc ....Dahl_what................... if people here on zdnet really think Linux will catch on with the AVERAGE Windoze user any time soon they're are dreaming .............................Linux will catch on when all the Windoze boxes are full of crap and are un-reparable and the end user is forced to go buy a new computer at Best Buy ................ Oh they don't stock Linux boxes ...............................I rest my case why things aren't going to change any time soon.................
