You don't use any system menus? Or the toolbars? Or FTP? If not, then I do agree that you are not using IE. Also, it is my fault for making assumptions that you are using icons/previews. Although, I do believe that the whole left side that shows desktop/my computer/my network places is technically a part of IE. But I am not 100% on that.
And I hope you are not saying I am a Zealot. I could care less what people use. I was just looking at that program to see if I would like it and came across that FAQ. I will admit that I don't like Microsoft's business practices and I think their software is average at best. And yes, I do like Linux (and the MAC). But I am not going to try and tell people what they have to use. I just don't care
As for using different applications, the main difference I see is that with Linux I can remove the whole application. Removing Firefox does not leave its html rendering engine on the system. Removing a media player does not leave its libraries on the system. Yes, I can remove IE's executable, but that still leaves its HTML rendering, among other things, on the system. Same with media player. However, as John Carroll will say, that is just part of the Microsoft "ecosystem." And some people like that. - Posted by: Patrick Jones Posted on: 02/08/06 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
