Still doesn't make it okay
---Contrast this with MS who allow their OS to run on any
hardware (and have no plans to change this) and are willing to
license their DRM to all competitors who can pay the price. ---

Really? Where's the version of Windows that runs on my PPC
iMac? And what happened to Lindows (er, Linspire) when they
tried to license MS' DRM and were flatly refused?

---Nowhere in that quote do they talk about keeping
competitors down.---

What does the phrase, "We need to keep the number of licensees
down to a manageable number" mean then? We want fewer
companies able to interact with our software. That means
restricting competition, end of story.

---He did it too simply doesn't apply because Apple is not doing
what MS is doing (or planning on doing), Apple is doing far, far
worse right now in their control of their OS, their hardware, and
their DRM. In comparison, MS looks like a saint.---

Just because Stalin killed more people than Charles Manson, that
doesn't make Charlie into a saint.
