Truth in Searching
The first days after Microsoft put out the beta of its new search technology a year ago, the results were terrific! One actually got to subjects unemcumbered by advertising disguised as search results. Then the cheaters kicked in and the results became like Yahoo. Naw, I change my mind, nothing is as useless as the paid placement of Yahoo.

It seems reasonable that since page placement in google is so absolutely vital to many businesses' survival that they will do anything, risk anything for that top of page one result.

Frankly, I don't care how brutal Google is in punishing those that try to push the results we really want onto page 10.
