Hey, all the search engines do this.
"Why single out BMW.de," one poster asked. I say, why single out Google.

Read the TOS of all the search engines. THey all warn you that attempts to artificially inflate your rating will result in lower ratings/delisting.

Do a search on "neuwagen" on all you favorite websites now {6th Feb 2006 @ 21:00 UTC} and see which ones pull up bmw.de on the first page. None.

lets get real. Google has "Done no harm." Not anymore than any of the other search engines. On the other hand, they protected people who are trying to find neuwagen from being hijacked by bmw.de and having harm done to them. Just like the rest of the search engines.
