Because if you want to get your site listed on...
search.msn.com, search.yahoo.com or search.google.com, you better comply.

THis article makes it sound as if Google is the only one to da that. Read the Yahoo! TOS if you like or try this; go to each of those sites and search 'neuwagen' and tell me which one of them brings up bmw.de on the first page.

None. Try Altavista.com next.

Now try lycos.com and... viola! ...In the "sponsored links" section but not the standard search results. But wait! THere's more! None of those sponsored links are actually bmw.de!

Now try the mother of all search engines, mamma.com! Still nothing!

Now let's blast all of those search engines for doing what Google did also. Either that or they never ranked bmw.de high in the first place.

That is why you stick with the recomendations of search engines when you design a web page and if you don't want to, don't just blame Google for not giving you a hit. Blame them all.
