No...who owns what?
GOOG doesn't own the web. If they want to be an accurate search provider, *they* need to deal with these issues on their end, not expect that they can issue design ultimatums to 3rd parties...who happen to be doing everything technically correctly and inline with W3C standards. It's GOOG's insufficient technology that is allowing bogus sites to filter to the top, causing BMW to try this, to begin with. If GOOG was on top of things, their spiders and indexing algorithms would be smart enough to determine that BMW belonged at the top of a search for "neuwagen bmw".
