They do keep a database
From what I've read it's pretty hard to fake an Iris scan. Now seeing as you have to sign up for this they do have you Iris scan and ID in a database. Now hacker could possibly get in alter the info in the database, counterfiet an ID smart card, and use thier iris to get in but I don't see that happening very often.
