Wise up.

If you bleat like this at the prospect of proving your identity via iris scan, do you soil your undergarments when the police stop you for speeding and ask for your driver's license?

Get a clue, they're not fixing themselves a snack when they walk back to their cruiser, they're running your plates and license to see if you have any outstanding warrants.

Brace yourselves, U.S. citizens: you do not have a right to travel *anonymously* in your car or on an airplane!

And when you're travelling to another country, you must abide by their immigration laws! A couple of years *before* 9/11 I was fingerprinted at Japanese immigration (oh, the emotional anguish). It's their country and they have a right to know who wants to enter:

"Not so fast, buddy. You say your name's Joe Sixpack? What's with the scaly green skin, spiny tail and atomic breath?"
