I hate subscription models.
Yes, the day of the "free computer" may be here pretty quick, but I'm not keen on paying $100/month just to operate it.

Want to play game? $50 plus $15/month. Want to play TWO games? Well, that's another $15/month. Want to play the game with other people? That'll be $10/month for the "Live" service. Want anti-virus? $10/month. Anti-spyware? Another $5/month. Want to make sure your computer is up-to-date with security? $15/month. Oh, looks like Office needs an update. Better buy into the new Office Live for $10/month.

God damn it, I'm sick of it. I sound like an old fart now, but I miss the good ol' days of buying software when I needed it, and no damn monthly fees.
