Symantec = Maginot' Line
Symantec is almost a virus by itself. It slows down the machine, it destabilizes it and it doesn't uninstall correctly. If you look at the registry after uninstall, there is a lot of shrapnel. The irony is, it only protects you against known threats if it stays intact from the last attack. Unknown threats, no AV package will protect you. Why bother with a AV package? Just use a removal tool when you get wacked. It is time for white listed computing and better habits from users.
