AMD forums laid low by Windows exploit

You don't know the 1/2 of it...: I've never visited the AMD Forum before, even if I have patched and plugged the WMF exploit in Windows.

The other day, I was actually thinking about going into the forums given AMD's lack of information on one of their own processors.

Saw a deal I just couldn't refuse - an Athlon 3400+ 939 pin chip, with motherboard for $229 at PC Club. But AMD, for some reason doesn't have any mention of the chip (only it's 754 pin brother) on the web site.

Was thinking about visiting the forums to see if anyone there ever heard of the beasty but figured it would be a waste of time.

Seeing is beliving - the chip does exist and I got me one. Seems the chip is an "OEM only" chip. They only sell 'em to resellers for intergration into systems.
