Inciteful reporting
MyDoom is serious and it is criminal. Users need protection and law enforcement officials need everyone's cooperation in aprehending the respnsoble party(ies).

But the press cannot resist adding that which we all know, "SCO, which has launched a controversial legal campaign against IBM and several Linux companies that has drawn the wrath of open-source software advocates, was targeted by the MyDoom virus shortly after it began spreading." This is great to set off a firestorm of flames, but adds nothing of value.

Wouldn't a little more insightfulness be nice?
