MyDoom is far more than a poorly-written DDoS zombie
You do a disservice to your readers by implying that the only capabilities MyDoom has are self-propagation and an attack on the SCO website.

It also:

1) opens a backdoor that permits anyone to install and run any program on the infected computer. This is already being exploited by the "doomjuice" worm.

2) installs a keylogger which can trap and report sensitive personal information such as passwords and credit card numbers.

3) acts as a spam relay.

MyDoom's threat has not passed...

Everyone: PLEASE update your antivirus software's signatures. PLEASE run a full antivirus scan. PLEASE visit Windows Update and install all the Critical Updates. And PLEASE STOP OPENING UNEXPECTED E-MAIL ATTACHMENTS.

Thanks.
