The storey notes that much of the malware is not illegal. WHO CARES? Certainly not the the user who has to get it cleaned off. If you put an install package on my computer without warning me it was going in there in clear text - not buried on page 6 of the EULA - it is cyber tresspassing and possibly vandalism or theft. I will treat it as such. All of those ARE illegal whether damage is done or not.
