I don't think any home OS is invulnerable

I was simply stating the reasons why this particular exploit could be rendered impotent using the most basic of home security measures, measures that take pretty much no time to setup and measures that should be taken no matter what OS you are using. The only difference is that Microsoft has done a piss poor job of securing Windows by default (nothing that can't be fixed very quickly and easily).

Sorry...it's not just marketshare (although I won't deny that belonging to a smaller userbase helps).

No, it isn't 100% marketshare. As I stated above, Microsoft's defaults are inexcusable but luckily, they are also very easy to fix.

I'll just stick with my Slack box.

My XP partitions are only used for games, syncing my iPaq, home finances, and .NET development, Gentoo is used for all other day-to-day stuff. People make it sound like there are nothing but advantages to having a small marketshare but they tend to dismiss the fact that other than my .NET development tasks, all my other tasks can't be done with Linux (or not done as well in the case of home finances) because Linux has such a small marketshare.
