If we accept that is the user behaviour then why does the OS let
it happen. This same defence is raised every-time another one
of these windows malware is released - when is enough going to
be enough.

"Email a .sh file to every user who got infected with Nyxem along
with instructions on how to set the execute bit and instructions
on how to run as root and all of them would do it."

And you compare this to dismissing a dialogue in Outlook? Who
ever gets executables in an email anyway that isn't malware?

"The only way to secure an OS from the computer naive is to not
give them the root/Administrator password at all and even then
they would probably get hit with a trojan that deleted all their
personal files."

Absolute rubbish. The *nix family has many tool in the
administrators bag of trick to prevent these things. You can very
easily prevent users from being able to run executables that
have not been set-up by an administrator - period no
exceptions. What's more, unlike the crap slapped together in the
windows world where many apps can't even run with restricted
permissions, the superior design of *nix programs allows these
restrictions to be put in place and the system will function.

If you keep bleating "the user is dumb" then how about
demanding from Redmond an OS that protect them from
themselves.

After years of this same type of attack we have yet another piece
of windows malware and still they apologise for MS.
