I'm not really sure that you have been exposed to all the fact though. You seem quite convinced that Linux ins't "taking off" but I wonder what you are looking for in the form of taking off?

If Linux wasn't "taking off" microsoft wouldn't be so furiously persuing it with so much effort.

Pick up any PC/Computer magazine and you will see that linux is everywhere where people care about computer technology. Amoung the "advanced computer world" its only a handful of ostridges with thier heads in the sand that haven't used Linux for something. If you thing you haven't than you are simply ignoring Google. Google runs on Linux. So my friend you and the rest of the entire computer using world has used linux. Enjoy.
