However, there are sheep out there (most Americans) that will purchase anything from an email with just such a subject line. My favorite subject lines are those that claim "your account will be deleted unless you respond immediately"
Spam will not stop until everyone quits purchasing their junk. I'm sure you are aware that usually, the spammer gets $$ from the user clicking on the link.
As far as spyware goes, I make it a point to keep all security settings set to disallow things like this happening to what ever platform I am on.
