Never pay the extorntionist's ranson
Kudos to InfoRelay for instructing Tew not to pay. I loved it when Mel Gibson's character in Ransom got on TV and urged the kidnapper's associates to turn on their leader. The FBI should offer Russians a reward for turning in these nogoodniks. Want to make the blackmailers truly miserable? Have the government pass a law that makes it illegal to pay such ransom, fining the payer 1.5X the ransom if he DOES pay. Then enforce it. Only then will the blackmailers understand that they can't win.
