You mistake our concerns
But you see, we don't really care about the musicians that don't have a record contract. They don't bring any revenue into our coffers. The world will always be filled with pretenders.
What we actually referred to was the thousands of artist who have already secured a record deal and rely on the meager royalties from album sales to support themselves. By refraining from buying CDs you are directly contributing to the loss of revenue for these individuals. For a struggling musician making $10,000 a year on royalties, every penny counts. So do your part to ensure the artists you know and love can continue to manufacture, err, we mean create the music we all love and we here ar Sony promise to keep releasing secure CDs to protect the livelihood of these cherished individuals.
