No offense, but do you really believe that Windows Vista is actually the same source code as Win 3.1?!!!!

That's like saying that my mobile phone is based on the same principles as the first fixed landline phones!!!

Neither are true. And neither is that the fact that the newer Kernels of Linux are different to in all aspects to the old.

The newer Kernels of Linux do still contain some of the original Kernels code, as does Windows Vista with Win 3.1.

Why break something when it's fixed?

The way I see it anyway, Vista is still in BETA - as such people shouldn't worry about things too much, it's only when it's released fully that people can laugh at the bugs and "backward compatability" flaws. Needless to say, Linux too has flaws, people just don't abuse them!!
