Find out Yourself
Try a beta. They've come mind-blowingly far. The current beta 1 may not have that many end user features but the first beta of their operating systems have never have - it's all about the foundation. If I remember correctly it was only supposed to be about 33% feature complete. Otherwise they've...

- Reworked NTFS for even better performance and stability
- Created a brand new XML vector and 3D based user interface
- Rewritten network stack from scratch
- Designed an entirely new communication system unifying messaging, transactions, security systems, encoding methods, and network designs into a single framework
- Redesigned their printing subsystem for better quality and color management
- Eliminated the necessity for the system to reboot between patches and installs
- Reworked the power management systems for laptops
- Brand new audio system for per-application customization
- Let applications run in "least privilege" mode to help with security and prompted only when it needs to be elivated (yes Linux has it, but be happy its now in Windows)
- A new metadata system as an extension to the file system which will truly change the way you see files and data.

Shall I continue?
