Oh, really?
Funny thing is, I've been using Windows since Windows 95 and didn't have problems.

At least that you know about. I've never scanned a field notebook that wasn't loaded with spyware. This contract supports roughly 2,500 field users, think of them as sales reps, all have laptops. They all have Norton antivirus and I can guarantee every one of them has some sort of spyware on it. Even with a subscription antivirus they still manage to get infected. We can tell when they try to connect to the home system. Those users have their life on those laptops and they're getting connections at coffee shops, airports, libraries and hotel networks. I've seen people doing online banking at Starbucks right down the street. You go, boy. No skin off my nose.

Financial software (like Money or Quicken) and online banking and trading are some of the common tasks done with a PC at home so your advice is unrealistic for a home user.

By all means have at it. I love Windows users. Because as long as so many of you are out there with insecure PC's, it's more billing for me and I can go on my merry way knowing no hacker is going to take the time or make the effort to try and crack my workstations because it's so much easier to hork yours. ROFL! I don't have to be faster than the bear, just faster than you. And it doesn't sound like that's much effort.
