- Spammers or something else?
-
As an internet marketer I get twitchy when this subject comes up. First off I dont send emails at all in my marketing. For fear of being confused with a spammer. The law is rediculous. I get spam, all the time. I opt out , block or delete it. But from my point of view this whole legal thing is quite scary. There are loads of people that actually want the information I can give them on earning money online. The whole world is busy trying to get in on the marketing game plan. They just dont know how. The spam laws have stopped us or me, in my tracks from sending these people what they ask for for fear of being turned on by one and called a spammer.
Now what these men in this article did is clearly wrong. But to send them to jail for spamming is -well maybe wrong. Yes they spammed. But doing it over company equipment is what they really did that was very wrong and laws are already in place for that. Do you really want MORE laws? Since when do laws work anyway? The only people they really hurt are us-the legitimate on marketers. I am also an owner of dobermanns I train and trial in bite-sports. When Joe Blow down the road who knows nothing about dogs-kids and dogs and training etc. abuses his dog and it eventually eats a kid. I end up being in the position of defending what I do. Now my dogs have never bit anyone that didnt break into my house. That means theyve bit no one other than at training. But if someone does break in-after hearing all the barking of dobermanns inside & read as they passed all the warning signs of my LOCKED GATED property in the woods-I will be held liable. My dog may even be put down. Now there are laws in place now to stop Joe Blow from letting his dog eat a kid. RIGHT? So why now am I in a position to defend my dogs-theyve never done anything and never will. people that do this with their dogs are very very viligent and care & control their dogs. I would certainly NOT let my dog worth $30,000.00 roam the streets would I?? The idiot down the road does none of this, nor even cares. He'd say "Aw shucks my dog wouldnt hurt a fly." After he has inadvertantly by chaining him up taght the dog to bite anything that moves with no controls no obedience training. No understanding at all. Then next wek his kid gets eaten.Oh well. Joe had it coming-but his dog is a deader. And Im now fighting legislation because of Joe. What we need is to enforce the laws we already have. PLUS--here it is-TEACH Joe how to raise kids & dogs and train them and care for them. Because both are neck and neck with domestic abuse. We dont need more laws. For either of these scenarios. We need to educate Joe or take his dog using the same laws we now have. WE do not need to BAN breeds. Or make us get outragous liability insurance. Same with the spammers. They dont have a way for the recipient to OPT OUT on the email? Nail em. But if they do comply with the law NOW in place they will have their contact info and an opt out option on the email. Jesus I am so tired of goverment. But I am also Am. Indian and have some pretty uncommon views on that too that I will keep to myself until I can let it allll out. Us Indians do have a plan boys. But we are waiting. Just waiting. For just the right time. 8-)The gov. is a joke. And we are their slaves. And I dont spam or let my dogs run free in the streets. This kneejerk reactionary garbage we are getting these days is so out there! Oh! Lets make another law! Fast! Gag me with a spoon. Sorry but I dont get into the gov. taking over my entire life, and I call it-"Fart Control." Yeppers-Fat Control-that's what it is. But that saying its funny=and it is anything but funny-it is very very scary. - Posted by: debz_z Posted on: 01/16/06 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
