Nothing replaces a responsible parent
The emporer has no clothes in this story. Creating a digital ID for kids is nothing more than a marketing ploy. Pray tell me how a digital ID is going to protect a lurking pervert? Unplug the marker and the kid can still get to all the sites that this thing is supposed to protect them from. Kids can circumvent filtering programs with ease, what makes any rational thinking parent believe this will do any more.

Nothing can replace the watchful eye of a parent when it comes to keeping kids safe while they are online.
