Massive fines and jail time needed.
The corporate hot shots and the people who run these operations won't change a thing until the feds introduce massive fines and serious jail time for such security breaches. I for one really hope they do. Now all they get is a little slap on the wrist. This is why we see the likes of Enron doing what they do, banks and credit companies routinely "losing" customer data. This is getting ridiculous, there is one "missing tape" or "hacked CC data" incident every few weeks, regular as clockwork.
