Tapes?
Does MC keep CC numbers and customers' data unencrypted on back-up tapes - a typical procedure? I worry about this - if such a tape falls off the truck or otherwise falls into the wrong hands, we MC card holders are in a bunch of trouble.

If they are strongly encypting their back-up tapes, then 3 cheers - maybe they should publicize that - as I fear others do not so encrypt.
