it's a step in the right direction to raise awareness, at least. As if
that should even be necessary when dealing with people's personal
financial futures. Visa uses Verified By Visa for securing online
transactions, but the web site has to support it, and from what I've
seen few do. If the credit card companies continue to offer fee
reductions and other incentives to merchants for following security
protocols, it might pay off for everyone involved.
