Why allow hiding?
Why does the OS allow any hiding other than the basic hidden flag or protect hidden files?

There are so many issues with the Windows OS that it scares me. I am not some Linux freak, I am a windows user and have been for many years. But it seems to me that MS should worry more about what kind of system they are producing and less about making a pretty interface.
