Ignorant is right
"GIVE ME A BREAK!! I wish people would understand that they dont just pick a few calls and listen in on them. They have LEADS!!! That means that they are trying to prevent another attack and have knowledge to do so."

If they have leads why is Bush avoiding the FISA court? The rubber stamp secret court that has approved over 19,000 warrants and denied only 5 since it was created in 1979. A court that Bush could go to 72 hours after the fact if it was an emergency and he felt like he didn't have time to get a warrant beforehand.

This country was founded on a separation of powers to prevent us from ending up with a dictator that can do whatever he/she wants when they want regardless of the law.

The fact is that as of right now we don't know what Bush has done because we only have his word for it. And personally I'm not willing to trust the word of a man that I believe has lied to all of us. IE: During the 2004 election when he told everyone that when you hear that we are going after terrorists, that requires a warrant, your civil liberties are not being violated.

If you think there is no danger in what is going on think about this, J Edgar Hoover who ran the FBI was doing the same thing and was famous for blackmailing lawmakers with the files he had on them. Do I think I'm important enough to be listened to? Of course not but I still don't like the idea of it. Do I worry that mabe people that are important enough to be listened to are and that mabe the information that is being collected could be misused? Yes until I find out differently.
