Ever wonder why the government spends so much time trying to convince us that the "Patriot Act" is necessary and lawful? It's probably because it is such a blatant attack and end run around the US constitution.
But it all doesn't really matter though. America is already finished, even excluding all the rampant fascism. The combined incipient bankruptcy of the nation coupled with police state measures will make this country look like a ravaged skeleton of its former self. Hell, it's starting to look that way already.
Whatever the government is not able to get passed with the next few "Patriot Act" iterations, it will ram through once more terror attacks are staged. They will then use the excuse, "all the civil liberties we are stealing from you are not enough to stop the terror; we need to take more away from you". This will continue until the feds are able to track, manipulate, and do away with any American at a moment's notice.
Bush's unnecessary wiretapping is clearly and completely illegal, but then again, this puppet administration never saw a law or treaty that it didn't love to break whenever expedient. It should be even more scary that the New York Times knew of this for a year and were pressured into concealing it for so long. That should be a nice testament as to how much the "free" press is looking out for the guy in the street.
Anyways, all the barking from the milquetoast washed up Democrats is all pure theater. The entire "Patriot Act" is illegal in itself. There should be congressmen going berzerk over the entire act. The fact that they are cherry picking over minor details should clue in even a casual observer that it is all to trick the public into thinking that there is a public voice in government.
In short, the government will continue to terrorize the population until there are no rights left. This will reach fruition in less than 15 years. God bless America everybody. Stock up on your grenades and rocket launchers. - Posted by: Jeff Spicoli Posted on: 01/09/06 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
