I won't dispute the numbers. (Atleast whoever takes the totals seriously should take these more "dangerous" vulnerabilities into account! Without knowing how hard they are looking, I take neither seriously.)

All I'm pointing out is that even if you had exactly the same kind of error in Linux environment and Windows environment, the Windows error will actually cause more frenzy because more people are likely affected! Just because millions of people are affected, that alone doesn't mean the Windows bug is any more dangerous than the Linux bug.
