Running with limited privileges under Windows is easier said than done, mainly because there is still a great deal of third-party software that makes doing so impossible, or extremely inconvenient. Or is there a patch for wasting an ungodly amount of time trying to find ways to make all your applications work?

Running with limited privileges doesn't "guarantee" anything, especially in light of the possibility of a privilege-escalation attack.

There are also user-mode rootkits, I hate to tell you.

So much for being high-and-mighty, huh?
