Yet another lemming...
"Answer 2. - again, very little. I am afforded the opportunity to
use vendor's products gratis due to my MVP status."

That's great for you, but what are the rest of us supposed to do?
Spend hundreds of dollars to secure a machine because the OS
manufacturer can't or won't? That's one hell of a solution...way
to demostrate the self serving nature of a true MVP rather than
offer a real solution.

This has nothing to do with hating. I just hold my vendors to a
higher standard. I expect that when I purchase and use a
product, it won't compromise my security. Is that so much to
ask?

And you didn't answer the main question....what do you have
against open source? Affraid it might impact your precious MCSE
earnings potential?

In previous posts you have said "I run Outlook (2003) at its
default settings and don't see HTML tags or images.
Attachments such as .exe, .pif, .scr, .bat do not even appear in
my mailbox."

Please explain how sacrificing the some of the most useful
features of a modern mail application is a reasonable solution to
the rampant infections that plague the average user?

You also said, with regard to the massive Tsunami just over a
year ago, "Why not donate to an organization with a proven
track record for accomplishments?"

Why don't you feel the same way about software? Why would you
actively support an organization that has a "proven track
record"" of releasing software with critical flaws?

And then you have the audacity to say "The rest of us use what
works for us and move on. Spending time hating is worse than
spending time patching."

What do you think the point of this thread is? Someone created a
patch that "works" and allows the rest of us to "move on", and
yet your response is a critical attack of open source and a
person who has taken the high road in donating a solution to
the computing world.

Take the blinders off and have a look around.
