Relative merits of education
I'm a Linux user by choice, myself, although I have to use Windows at work. I have to agree with your assessment here, though: prosyletizing negatively those who have no intention of changing does both communities (Windows and Linux) a disservice.

Use what works for you, what you like, or what you have already paid for, whatever. Let's all be friends. Just keep up with what's out there, do your patches and updates, secure all your boxen and be happy.
