Perhaps, but....
Marketshare has alot to do with this as well. Before you write another apples-to-oranges response, consider that hackers write exploits that will cause the most damage, make the most money or get them the most exposure. Apple's Mac marketshare is simply too small to attract the best hackers because the rewards are simply not large enough.

Laboring under the idea that the OSX is more secure simply because fewer exploits have been taken advantage of is a false premise and naieve at best.
