I completely agree with you.
Microsoft is selling products that they know are flawed.
They rely on customers to do their Beta testing for free.
I, for one would like to charge them for my services ever time I send an error report.
After all, when I do send errors, using my bandwidth at my expense, nobody at Microsoft even bothers to say "Thanks", let alone investigate the problem.
If a car manufacturer sold you a car which was defective, would you expect to be told to hire your own mechanic or investigate the problem yourself?
No - you take the car back, you get a temporary replacement whilst it's being fixed and usually an apology by way of a free service.
Why is Microsoft different?
