Overhyped probably...
but it still is a vulnerbility, and people have been exploited(one person in tech department has experienced it at home). And you can't blame everything on the user, sure sometimes it is pure stupidity on their part, but not always. Criminals are getting more sophisticated and it not always easy to spot that something isn't right. The only thing you've said that is true is that Microsoft will take care of it soon enough.
