But it isn't just the pharmaceutical companies. There are thousands
of people in this country who could be saved from preventable
diseases and malnutrition simply by being adequately fed, housed
and clothed. But that's not as sexy as giving someone a life-saving
heart surgery, or separating conjoined twins. We could save a lot
more children for a lot less money, but apparently it's not heroic
