Job Security

It makes me sad when people talk about viruses and other
security and support issues in terms of job security. I mean, do
you really think you wouldn't have jobs if it weren't for this
unproductive nonsense? Don't you think it's possible that you
might have a more worthwhile, interesting and perhaps even
uplifting job? I mean, to me it sounds like saying disease is a
good thing because it provides work for nurses, physicians and
pharmacologists, or crime is a good thing because it creates
more work for law enforcement. I know that some people enjoy
this kind of work, but wouldn't we be better off if it weren't
necessary?
